Barkell has launched a new range of heat recovery units, the Therm-X HRFL, designed to provide intelligent, clean and comfortable ventilation and heat recovery.

Specifically developed for ceiling void installation the units are designed with reduced overall height to cope with the increasingly stringent requirements for ventilation systems installed in ceiling voids.

The units consist of a sturdy double skinned casing fitted with highly efficient EC plug fans, counter flow plate heat exchanger, filtration and optional integrated pre and post heating.

Fully integrated controls for plug & play operation ensure easy set-up and calibration of the unit in different modes of operation (CAV,VAV,DCV) and the remote touchscreen controller enables manual adjustment of the operational parameters, display alarms and monitoring of the unit operation.

All units also benefit of BMS communication capabilities through MODBUS RTU protocol.

Pre-fitted brackets and AV mounts allow for easy and reliable installation and an extensive range of ancillaries enhance even further the capabilities of the units.

Full access to all components is available through the bottom of the unit making it easy to service and maintain.

The Therm-X HRFL integrated controls and state of the art components ensure the most economical operation in compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations and exceeding the ErPD 2018 requirements all whilst offering near silent operation.

The Therm-X HRFL is available in three sizes with airflows up to 0.66m3/s and low casing heights (350mm, 390mm, and 480mm).

The Therm-X HRFL is now available for purchase. For more information on Barkell’s Therm-X HRFL product range, please visit the Barkell heat recovery web page.
